Learn Time Management and Play Guilt Free
If you learn good time management skills, your grades will almost surely improve. Not just your grades, but almost any part of your life will improve by learning how to make good use of minutes and hours. There seems to be a constant battle between quantity and quality. - There's too much to do
- You want to do everything with excellence
That problem has always existed, and the electronic culture of today has made it even more difficult. Not only do we have to select a necessary task from the multitudes waiting for action, but we've got to produce the time needed to accomplish the task with quality results.Compounding those decisions, we must select that perfect song from among the thousands that wait quietly on our mp3 player. Here are some practical hints to make your time management more efficient. - Don't get caught up in the "multitasking" falicy.
- Always have something with you to work on in case unexpected time appears.
- work first, play guilt free.
- Reward yourself... in proportion to the task accomplished
- Do ONE thing... then another...and another...
- Plan certain tasks for the same time each day.
- Get started on a task, don't just sit there
Some habits are directly related to study. - When the assignment is to read, guess what... READ!
- Be neat, even if you're not super organized. At least put the piles in NEAT piles.
- If you are give time in class to study or work, use it for that purpose.
- Ask questions in class. Guess what, that's how learning happens.
If you don't think you have a problem with time, try keeping a time-log of your activities for a few days. Pay particular attention to how much time you lose just "hanging out" or texting you buddy who you'll be seeing in one hour anyway. The results might surprise you. Maybe surprise you enough to take action. But wait... there's no hurry. You can always improve your time management skills tomorrow.
